Black Gold, located at 461 Court St., will host its ninth “Gold Dig,” a sale with more than 5,000 records for the price of a dollar. The cash-only sale, which happens twice a year, takes place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the four-and-a-half year old shop that sells records, antiques and coffee. Black Gold will also have its regular stock of records available for purchase, with prices varying. The genres range from freestyle and hip-hop to punk, classic jazz, blues and a good amount of indie rock. The discounted collection typically consists of doubles, promotional records or copies with slight imperfections like a crease or split in the jacket, he said. Most of the records have never seen store shelves.
