It’s time to get your grub on with some good ol’ Caribbean food this week; roti, jerk chicken, and oxtails all at pre- fixed prices. Nearly 30 Caribbean restaurants in three boroughs are participating in the first-ever Caribbean Restaurant Week this week with the bulk of the restaurants centered around the Caribbean neighborhoods of Crown Heights, Flatbush and Prospect Heights. Each restaurant will offer a special dish or drink at a fixed price until Saturday, June 28th. The week-long event corresponds with Caribbean Heritage Month, according to organizers from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the group behind the West Indian parade, the West Indian American Day Carnival Association.
