Raymi Productions and Blast! Marketing and PR are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Mac & Cheese Fest to be held on Saturday, October 4 at the UIC Forum from noon to 3 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana. The festival promises to offer “a mind-blowing variety of macaroni and cheese entrees” from about 60 Chicago chefs, according to the event’s press release. Each of the chefs will present their own versions of the classic dish, using any type of pasta and cheese as the primary ingredients. Festival attendees will also chow down on appetizers and sides served with craft beer, wine or soft drinks. Attendees and “a panel of foodies” will select a winner, who will take home “The Golden Noodle”
Tickets for the event are $50 and will go on sale later this summer. More information and tickets will be available through the event’s website. The event will be from 12 to 3 p.m. on October 4 at the UIC Forum, 725 West Roosevelt Road in Chicago: LINK
