A husband-and-wife team is offering to fix your broken gear. The Pop Up Repair shop, run by married Barnard theater professors Sandra Goldmark and Michael Banta, will set up at the markets for the first time after successful runs at a storefront in Inwood, the Washington Heights Y, Upstart Gallery and a prop warehouse in Gowanus. On Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Pop Up team will collect broken household goods and belongings people bring to the market and spend a week or so repairing them in a Williams-burg warehouse. The repair costs typically range between $10 and $100, depending on the item the team, which includes two other helpers, and is hoping to create a sustainable business. LINK
