The CitiBike bicycle rental program will begin at select spots in two boroughs starting this month. New Yorkers can sign up and become an annual member of the CitiBike program, it’s a $95 option that allows up to 45 minutes of riding between docking at stations. 6,000 bikes will be available at 330 stations in parts of Brooklyn in Manhattan.Citi Bikes are available 24/7, 365 days a year. Station locations are based on population and transit needs, and were selected through a participatory public input process. Each station has a touchscreen kiosk, a map of the service area and surrounding neighborhood, and a docking system that releases bikes for rental with a card or key. You must be 16 or older to ride a Citi Bike.
