A woman who got pulled off an Amtrak train by police after passengers complained she was speaking too loudly on a cell phone said she felt “disrespected” by the entire incident. Witnesses told the officers that a short time before – ignoring train rules – she was talking on her cell phone while the train rolled down the track. But several said that Beard wasn’t just talking in a normal tone of voice. She was very loud, and irritating other passengers. So when one of them approached her, reminding her that she wasn’t supposed to be talking on the phone at all, she got “verbally aggressive” to other passengers, who cleared out of the area. Beard had reportedly been talking continually on the train.
